Become a Caregiver

NurtureCare, a consumer directed model of care, refers independent Caregivers to families who want to be actively involved in all aspects of care for their loved ones. The client/family member determines the care to be provided, the hours and days care is needed, and can negotiate the rate directly with the Caregiver. NurtureCare charges the client a referral fee. This allows us to carefully and thoroughly vet Caregivers, be available to locate back- up care as needed, and be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. The Caregivers referred by NurtureCare have a minimum of 2 years of experience caring for older adults, and we spend a significant amount of time verifying their references and conducting various background checks (see below). As independent Caregivers, they are responsible to carry their own professional liability insurance, and occupational accidental insurance which works similarly to workers compensation insurance.
